U. S. postage stamps promoting shelter animal adoption

Last week I posted a set of stamps released by Canada promoting pet adoption.  Cody-Cat commented that the U. S. should do the same, and they already have … Yay!

Here are the U. S. stamps. They were released on April 30, 2010 featuring ten cute dogs and cats. We especially like when a black cat is featured. Black cats have much lower adoption rates than other cats (same for black dogs) and that’s just silly. All colors of animals make wonderful pets.

    I wish they would bring back these stamps – I loved using them!
