Photos of Raven – black and beautiful

The only difficult thing about being a black cat is that it’s hard to get good photos. If it’s too dark, I have no features and I’m a “puddle of darkness”. If it’s too bright, my black fur gets all washed out. It takes just the right light and lots of patience (for both me and mom) to get good photos.

I sat for a long time for pictures this weekend and mom managed to get some good photos. The light was just right so you can see my glossy black furs and the reddish highlights around my ruff. You can also see that the tips of some of the furs on my sides are getting light colored. The best part of these photos is that my eyes are wide open and you can see my nose, mouth, and chin.

These are nice photos, Raven! Binga has a lot of black, and my human always works hard to get the right exposure and contrast for her fur.

Oh beautiful photos Raven! I have heard that it is hard to take pictures of black cats. These turned out great though.

Those are some great photos! We sympathize! Our mom has to take twice as many shots of Carl to get a quarter of what she would of the other non-black kitties.

  4. Darling Raven, these are FANTASTIC! The Human feels the pain of trying to get good pictures. She has kinda given up most of the time, ha ha meow.

Thank you for being such a great Viceroy–you’re the best! I think by the end of next weekend, there will be a badge!
