British Shorthair Postage Stamp from Monaco

Mom added some new stamps to her collection. This stamp from Monaco features a British Shorthair and commemorates the 2014 International Feline Exposition.

Monaco British Shorthair 2014

She ordered it from the Monaco postal service, and since most of the cost is just to have the stamps mailed to the United States, she also ordered an interesting jelly fish stamp sheet.
Monaco Jelly Fish souvenir sheetMom & Dad like ocean life, especially jelly fish. One of their favorite places to visit is the Monterey Bay Aquarium, which has a well known jelly fish exhibit. I think it would be fun to visit this big fish tank and watch the graceful jellies float around.

The Monaco stamp of the British Shorthair is so beautiful.

The lady has been to Cambria and San Simeon a few times (many years ago) and now regrets never making the trip to Monterey for the aquarium. Those jelly fish are stunning!

Mom went to Hearst Castle when she was young. Monterey is Mom & Dad’s favorite place. They’d live there if they won the lottery.

Love watching the jellies at MBA! Fence work must be done, as all was quiet and Henry was back to his normal self. 🙂

  14. Neat stamps! The hubs has a hate-hate relatiionship with jelly fish. Years ago, we lived in Bermuda and a Portuguese Man of War stung him REALLY bad once (while he was about 1/2 off shore swimming. Had to swim all the way back wrapped in it’s tentacles). Had to rush him to the hospital on the back of my moped. It was quite the adventure. He’s never forgiven their species for it!

  15. I would love to go to the aquarium too! That seems like it would be so much fun!! –Sophie
P.S. We love your stamps – very cool.
P.P.S. Regarding your question about my leash on my WW post yesterday — I have a regular leash. That stretchy fleece in that one photo is actually one of my favorite toys! The way it was sitting against me in the photo made it look like it may have been a leash.

  16. Love the kitty stamp!

That first stamp is gorgeous. Mom is afraid of being stung by a jellyfish whenever she and Dad go to the Caribbean, but she loves fish and aquariums. Do your humans collect stamps or just special ones? XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

Cool cat stamp! Isn’t the USPS supposed to release another cat stamp this year? Does she have any collectible Stunning Keisha stamps?

    • Raven says:

The USPS will be releasing a set of Pets stamps in 2016 (I don’t know which month). They can be
      previewed here.
I’ll see if I have a stamp that looks like you. Have you put yourself on a stamp?
