Work, work, work

It’s been a busy weekend here. Mom and Dad spent a couple days getting the garden beds ready for vegetable planting, they’ve trimmed back some shrubs so I have a better view from my window, and today, mom did some mending on the front curtains. She had to move my perch so she could get the ironing board and sewing machine next to the curtains, but I was able to supervise from my perch in the center of the room.

I’m not sure if you can see me in the perch, so here I am close up.

After all the work was done, I decided to take a nap. Truth be told, I took a nap before mom’s work was done, but I thought she was doing a satisfactory job and didn’t need me to supervise any more.

Whenever my furniture moves, I feel compelled to use it in it’s new location. I’m sure my perch will be moved back to the window tonight, but I’m enjoying it in the middle of the room for now.

Do any of you think it’s important to investigate your furniture when it’s been moved?

  1. We have to check out anything new or anything moved just in case we disagree with the changes ๐Ÿ˜‰

Yes, my kitties will get on the furniture being moved ๐Ÿ™‚ Glad you got to have a nap. Sounds like your Mom was very busy.

  5. oh yes you are wise to do that! (BTW your living room looks nice!). My Mom moved my old cat tree into her and Dad’s bedroom when I got a new one and guess what? I have yet to use it in it’s new location. Love, Cody catchatwithcarenandcody

It looks like you have lots of perches there, Raven! You’ve got it made! We keep moving things on Samantha, but every time we expand her horizons…yet she keeps going back to her bed in the window! It seems like rooms with a view are a favorite with kitties.

  7. Brian says:

You sure did some good perching! I really don’t like it when furniture moves, mine or the peeps.

Depends on where its been moved! You sure have some great perches and the lounge/scratcher is amazing. You sure have excellent humans. We just want to know if you had something to do with those curtains needing to be mended?

    • Raven says:

Luckily, no, the curtain fabric is very lightweight and after 10 years the edge frayed and needed to be resewn. I am only responsible for all the cat hair coating the backside as I walk along the window sill.

    Everything should be investigated!

Boy that is some nice cat furniture!

  11. Raven, nice bit of snoozer-vising!

  12. It’s of higher importance ! Every piece of furniture needs to be investigate ! You have a great view from your perch ! Purrs

We absolutely have to check out any new location of our furniture! After all, it’s not usually us who instigate furniture moves!

Any change to the living arrangements must be checked out! And repositioned, if the peeps didn’t do it properly. ๐Ÿ™‚

  17. My Toffee says she’s jealous of your room and looked at me accusingly. She is of the opinion that she must investigate everything to make sure it is suitable for the household. This includes furniture, anything that arrives in a box and anything that moves. I hope this helps.

  18. That is an impressive perch!! I always have to snoopervise every little job the human does, otherwise she will do it all wrong!! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  19. Oh, yes! Rita is the same. If I move her bed, she has to get in it. I guess you have to make sure it still “feels” right in the new location, yes?

It is very important to test your furniture any time it is moved. That is the only way you find the perfect spot – just keep testing until it is right. I think the middle of the room is a good spot because you can easily keep an eye on intruders outside and anyone entering or leaving the room.

  21. Cathy Keisha says:

I’m glad you were snoopervising. Sometimes I don’t use a piece of furniture unless it’s moved. The center of the room sounds like a cool spot.
